Megathon CyberChain: International CTF Competition

The University of Salamanca, in collaboration with INCIBE (Spain's National Cybersecurity Institute), through the Cybersecurity Chair, CyberChain, invites all individuals interested in the field of cybersecurity to take part in our International Megathon. The event will take place on June 25th, 26th, and 27th in Salamanca (Spain) at the Conference Center.

HACKATHON: Cyber Defense and Threat Intelligence

The University of Salamanca, in collaboration with INCIBE (National Institute of Cybersecurity of Spain) through the Cybersecurity Chair, CyberChain, encourages anyone interested in the field of cybersecurity to participate in this Hackathon. Summit CyberChain

The International Chair in Blockchain for Cybersecurity ‘CyberChain’ holds the seminar ‘Laboratory of ideas on cybersecurity for the Arab world’ within the event ‘International meeting on the prospectives of AI and Cybersecurity’. The University of Salamanca and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport will join in this global challenge of cybersecurity to pool knowledge and ideas for the development of cybersecurity and its link with other technologies, such as Blockchain, in different frameworks and territories, as well as possible future alliances.

IoT and IIoT Application Design

On October 29, the International Cybersecurity Chair "CyberChain" is organizing the event "Application Design for IoT and IIoT" at the I+D+i Multi-Purpose Building of the University of Salamanca. The chair, coordinated by INCIBE and the University of Salamanca, aims to expand training offerings in cybersecurity and blockchain, including a university master's program, workshops, hackathons, entrepreneurship fairs, and other activities, expecting to reach around 6,000 beneficiaries. The October 29 session will be divided into three parts:

Blockchain, self-sovereign identities and legal aspects (II Edition)

The course on "Blockchain, Self-Sovereign Identities, and Legal Aspects" is designed to provide a comprehensive view of how legal aspects increasingly play a significant role in any digital solution, requiring most projects to have qualified personnel both technically and theoretically. Thus, the course is established with the main objective of minimizing the gap between industry needs and highly qualified professionals who can provide these services.
To achieve this, the knowledge to be imparted to students includes the following:

Master in Blockchain Technologies and Smart Contracts

Students who complete this lifelong learning master's degree will have a career profile that is currently in high demand due to the emergence of the Blockchain concept and the associated technological paradigm. Students will be able to learn about the technologies and computational models used in the framework of smart contracts, cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies, etc.
