The University of Salamanca, in collaboration with INCIBE (National Institute of Cybersecurity of Spain) through the Cybersecurity Chair, CyberChain, encourages anyone interested in the field of cybersecurity to participate in this Hackathon. It will be held on May 8th in Salamanca, Spain, specifically at classroom 11.3 of the Edificio Multiusos I+D+i.
What is this Hackathon about?
This multidisciplinary event is focused on fostering innovation in cybersecurity, specifically in artificial intelligence, threat intelligence, and proactive defense against advanced cyberattacks. The event will consist of various cybersecurity workshops, followed by a competition that promotes creativity and innovation, hands-on learning, and collaboration among students, researchers, and industry professionals.
What challenges are proposed?
- Developing AI-based threat prediction models. The goal is to predict cyberattacks (e.g., zero-day attacks or phishing campaigns) before they occur by analyzing historical patterns and behavioral data.
- Automating incident response with AI. This includes automatically identifying threats and making real-time decisions to mitigate damage.
- Building a threat intelligence platform with AI-driven semantic analysis. These platforms should leverage natural language processing (NLP) techniques to extract relevant information from documents and online sources (such as forums, the dark web, and threat intelligence feeds).
- Enhancing collaborative defense against cyber threats using AI. The goal is to create a network of cybersecurity stakeholders (companies, governments, private entities) that share threat intelligence, using AI to detect and mitigate attacks collectively.
Participation in the event is completely free, and you can register through this link.
Join the challenge and be part of this unique experience! We look forward to seeing you there! For more information and details about the event, please refer to the “Program” section.
