The CSDT project (Cybersecure Platform for the Exchange of Digital Tokens Based on Low-Power Distributed Ledger Technologies) aims to develop a secure and innovative platform for the exchange of digital tokens, leveraging low-energy distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) that make a significant contribution to the generation of knowledge in cybersecurity.
To detect anomalies in digital token traffic, CSDT proposes the use of Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs). This innovative approach enables real-time detection of anomalous patterns, which is essential for preventing cyberattacks. The contribution is twofold: on one hand, it develops a novel technique for anomaly detection, and on the other, it provides a platform for the evaluation and validation of this technique.

The project enhances the understanding of security in DLT environments. The platform developed will allow researchers and developers to evaluate and compare different security approaches within these environments, which is crucial for identifying best practices and improving overall security.
Additionally, it involves the development of new graph algorithms for intrusion detection and security analysis in DLT environments. These algorithms will be highly valuable to the cybersecurity community, enabling the detection of anomalous patterns and the identification of vulnerabilities.
A specific use case of the CSDT project is the detection of anomalies in digital token traffic. For instance, if a user attempts to conduct a transaction with a digital token that deviates from their usual behavioural pattern, the graph algorithm can detect this anomaly and alert the security system.
In general, the CSDT project makes a significant contribution to the generation of knowledge in cybersecurity. The platform will enable anomaly detection, enhance understanding of security in DLT environments, and foster the development of new graph algorithms. These contributions will be highly beneficial to the cybersecurity community and will help to improve security overall.
This initiative is being carried out within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union (Next Generation), a project by the Government of Spain that outlines the roadmap for modernising the Spanish economy, fostering economic growth, and creating jobs. It aims to ensure a strong, inclusive, and resilient economic recovery following the COVID-19 crisis, while addressing the challenges of the next decade.
